Sad day

We lost a member of our family today. We are very sad. We woke to find our beautiful ten year old Golden Retriever, Katie, collapsed on the floor. She had vomited nearby. She was breating, but only in and out of awareness. We had the kids hug her and kiss her good bye just in case and took her to the vet. They supported her for a couple hours to try to diagnos her problem. They called and said she was having seizures, so Kurt and I went in. When we knelt down and opened the cage, she lifted her head and knew we were there. Shortly after that, she went into a seizure. The vet thought she probably had a brain tumor or was having strokes. Kurt and I hugged on her and sat with her while the vet put her down. The kids are very sad as are we. The kids have not known life without Katie in it. She has been with us for ten years. She was the best, most gentle, noble dogs ever. We've all been crying all morning long. Katie was a gift from God in our lives for ten years...a constant in our children's lives no matter how many times we moved. We are praying about another golden retriever,...not to replace Katie, but to ease the grief and bring some joy to our home.

Kurt & JoLynn,
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May the Lord Bless your family through this.

Thank you so much for visiting The Johnson Chronicles. WOW, it's great to hear we have so much in common. I hope we will be able to keep up with each other it would be great.

The 3-2-B will be blessed with someone praying for them specifically rather than generally. You know what I mean?

God Bless ya real good!
